" I lie in the dust; revive me by your word." Psalms 119:25
It's been a dusty past, I lie on the ground with immense thirst. Not just physical but spiritual. We have all been here. So thirsty for the Lord. Which brings me to another verse "My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water." Psalms 63:1
I am sure you may have been there before. I was there just last year, yearning and knowing God had a much bigger plan for my life than just the average, ho-hum, spinning my wheels life I was living. But what was it? Would this "Greater" calling on my life surely come? I yearned for more of Him and thirst for more of Him. I simply was physically, emotionally, spiritually drained. He gave me a vision of rain, rain of blessings, refreshing, reviving, rejuvenating. During the drought, He gave me words to hold on to.
Are you in a similar place? Yearning, thirsting, lying in the dust in messy ruins? Crying out to the Lord with one last exhausted breath crying out to our Father to come, bring the rain? I have. I finally feel the rain now and the Lord's word has revived me. My body that was so thirsty for more of Him has been drenched by the rain of His love, mercy, grace and humbled ways. The plans, the desires, the dreams He has had for me for years are finally coming. No longer am I stuck lying in the dust, thirsty. Be quenched by our Fathers rejuvenating "rain". Stand still in His presence and let His Spirit fall on you as refreshing rain! Don't give up, if you are at your last exhausted breath, He is coming and He will bring the rain. Until then, hold on to His word, let it revive you. He loves you, He will never leave you in the dust. The parched and weary land you are in, is about to be drenched by our King! #fearlessfaith #thirst #dailydevo #dailydevotion #jesus #parchedland #quenched #jesusbringtherain
