A year ago today, I found myself dancing under the moon in the rainforest of Puriscal, Costa Rica at the 'Danza de la Luna' - the Moon Dance 🌙 200 women with the support of a few humbled men gathered to fast, sweat and purify in the tamascal honoring the teachings of the abuelas, dancing, singing, and drumming our prayers to the #motherearthfor 4 days.🌎🔥
It is a prayer to commune internally with the Self, but by making this effort through the physical body. •
For me, this was a profound remembering of the sacred ways, I found myself strung like a spider on a line, remembering this dance, these traditions, this sacred path of the #redroad. I felt so completely embodied in my #feminineessence, so supported and nurtured by the #sisterhoodand the conscious men who humbled themselves to serve and witness the women in this miraculous ceremony.
A truly transformative experience of remembering the Self, the Goddess, the Sisterhood, and our inherent connection to the Earth. I pray that we may remember and preserve the ways of the indigenous. Our society has us completely removed from the laws of nature, thus we have forgotten what it means to be human, to have compassion for one another, for our mother. I pray for our Collective Hearts Awakening. Eternal gratitude. ❤🙏🏻 ometeoytl. .....................................................
